We are pleased to announce that the 25th Polish Conference of Chemical and Process Engineering (OKIChiP25) will take place in Krakow, Poland, from 20 to 23 September 2026.
The event, organized by the Cracow University of Technology under the auspices of the Committee of Chemical and Process Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences, traditionally brings together researchers, academics, and industry professionals to exchange the latest achievements shaping the field.
We are pleased to inform you that the conference website is now live and abstract submission is open.
Throughout its nearly seven decades of history, the conference has reflected the evolution of chemical and process engineering – from its origins in traditional chemical industry sectors to its present breadth encompassing, among other, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, nanotechnology, the circular economy, renewable energy, and materials engineering. Today, in the face of global challenges such as climate change, energy transition, and sustainable development, the discipline plays a key role in developing advanced and environmentally responsible solutions. Modern chemical engineering increasingly contributes to innovative materials and medical technologies, while the ongoing digital transformation – driven by advanced modelling, AI, and automation – enhances the precise design and control of complex industrial processes. These interconnected themes – spanning energy, environment, biotechnology, materials, digitalization, and beyond – will form a central part of the discussions during the upcoming conference.
Although the name of the event highlights its national character, we would like to emphasize that, for several years now, the official language of the conference has been English. This change was introduced to broaden participation and ensure full accessibility for international attendees. For this reason, all official communication, including this announcement, is provided in English.
We warmly invite you to participate in this jubilee edition and contribute to shaping the future of chemical engineering in Poland and beyond.
We would also be grateful if you could help us disseminate the information about the conference within your institution or professional networks. Please feel free to share the attached event flyer.
We look forward to welcoming you in Krakow!
On behalf of the Organizing Committee
